Additional Financial Commitments at ClearWater Academy

Because tuition covers only 85% of the financial cost of educating each student at CWA, we depend heavily on fundraising in order to sustain our existence. All parents, community partners, and Board members are expected to contribute according to their ability to our annual fund, our GaSSO Scholarship Program, our annual gala and golf tournament.

  • Annual Fund
Support our Annual Fund by giving any amount that is commensurate with your family’s ability. With each donation comes the message that you support the faculty, staff, programs, vision and mission of ClearWater Academy. Together all gifts have a substantial and vital impact.
  • Georgia Income Tax Credit Program through GaSSO
Through the Georgia Income Tax Credit Program, businesses, families, and friends can re-allocate a portion of their state tax liability to the Georgia Student Scholarship Organization (GaSSO) and designate CWA as the recipient. Each contributor will receive a dollar for dollar tax credit on their Georgia state income taxes, and may also be eligible for a tax-deductible write-off on their federal taxes. It’s a Win-Win-Win!
  • Annual Gala
Families are asked to secure auction items, purchase tickets to attend, solicit sponsorships and help during the event.
  • Annual Golf Tournament
Families are encouraged to purchase tickets to play in the tournament themselves and/or sell tickets to friends; seek out sponsorships; procure beverages, food, snacks, goodie bag fillers and raffle items; and help the day of the event
  • Other Fees
Overnight Field trips, special lunches etc.

Financial assistance

The benefit of a ClearWater Academy education to a student with learning differences is immeasurable and provides a return on investment beyond financial measurement. However, financial limitations are sometimes real considerations. Therefore, ClearWater Academy makes a limited amount of scholarship funding available to qualifying families.

Take a look at applying for a Medical Waiver to secure these funds. See steps here.
